Hotel Catalina - Avalon

The hotel was a nice place for enjoying a nice area, short walk to beach, downtown, and the island. The staff was efficient, took good care of everyone. I came here for 1 night and had a very nice stay.

The mattress was saggy, but the verandas were lovely for reading.

Just a decent option for a lightning trip in Avalon with excellent value for money. The fresh donuts from the local bakery during breakfast were a nice touch. Make sure to lock your windows for extra peace of mind.

Charming Victorian aesthetic throughout the building creates a genuine historic vibe that you won't find in modern hotels. The third-floor veranda offers a nice spot to unwind with views of the surroundings, and nearby Vons provides quick access to any grab-and-go snacks you might need.

The hotel sits atop a steep hill. Noisy neighbors can disrupt sleep, especially if you end up near the front where street traffic can be heard. Small, dated bathroom facilities also leave much to be desired.

The hotel had this warm, homey vibe just like you feel in a family gathering. Plus, every morning we enjoyed fresh coffee and the best donuts you can possibly imagine.

It wasn't exactly cheap but acceptable for what we got.

Cozy room, friendly staff, the complimentary breakfast features delicious donuts, and there's convenient beach access just a short walk away.

Great spot for a group vacation! We had such a blast exploring the nearby beach and checking out the local shops. The charm of the place is undeniable. The shared patios made it nice to hang out. Rooms are comfy and the location's perfect for walking everywhere.

The service could have been a bit more cute. A couple of times, we walked in and weren't greeted.

Staying here was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the cozy One-Bedroom Cottage with its inviting decor and good mini-fridge. The beautiful garden area was perfect for winding down after a day of exploring, while I took advantage of mornings with coffee and pastries. The only downside was the limited electrical outlets, but it didn't overshadow my overall enjoyment 😊

The family cottage was uncomfortably cramped for four, and I encountered safety issues like an exposed outlet and poorly maintained facilities. The WiFi-when it worked-was unreliable, and the breakfast options were limited to stale pastries. While the setting is attractive, the overall experience fell short of expectations.

Facility upkeep needs urgent attention!!! Poor navigation and outdated amenities require significant improvements!!! Management should focus on ensuring cleanliness and repairing outdated furniture!!!

Charming Stay in a Historic Hotel!

The location is fantastic, just a short stroll to everything you need, and the shared outdoor patio was a nice touch for morning coffee. The beds were comfy, and the cozy atmosphere. I did find that the service could be a bit warmer and more engaging.

I enjoyed the hotel's charming Victorian decor and accessible features, made navigating the space easy. The communal balconies offered a lovely spot to relax with my coffee while enjoying views of the surroundings.

More comfortable seating in common areas would be appreciated.
